This café stands out not just for its incredible selection of coffee and pastries but also for the inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. With a vibe described as chill and laid back, it’s no surprise that guests like Ella appreciate its cozy nooks ideal for studying or unwinding.
One of the culinary highlights at Coffee Call is undoubtedly their fresh beignets. Customers rave about these delightful French-style pastries, which are served piping hot and generously dusted with powdered sugar, creating a heavenly bite that many have come to love. Meg Shipley, who stopped by on a family road trip, called them a steal at just $4.50 for three. That price combined with the fluffy texture and the thrill of watching them made fresh really leaves a lasting impression.
The charm of Coffee Call doesn’t stop at their beignets. The extensive menu includes various drinks and dishes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. D’Jillisser K's experience of pairing a classic beignet with café au lait quickly turned into a full dining adventure, exemplifying how this café encourages exploration of its offerings. Highlights also include mouthwatering sandwiches like the turkey po’ boy and comforting soups, amplifying the appeal for a complete meal.
The ambiance of Coffee Call enhances the experience even further. Zenaya Keylin illustrates how the café serves as an inspiring space for freelancers and creatives alike. With its cozy lighting and friendly service, it invites you to linger just a bit longer, whether you are collaborating with friends or simply indulging in some self-care with a good book and a rich cup of coffee. The café's extended hours until 10 p.m. provide a perfect opportunity for evening meet-ups or quiet moments spent savoring their delightful treats.
For many patrons, like Nathan Stalder, Coffee Call is more than a café; it’s a locale steeped in nostalgia and cherished memories. Returning here reignites those sweet moments shared over coffee and beignets, bridging generations. Customers appreciate the familiar faces and the warmth of the staff, enhancing the overall experience.
Whether it’s a brief stop for a caffeine fix, a leisurely brunch with friends, or a late-night work session, Coffee Call has something special in store for everyone. So, come for the coffee, stay for the beignets, and enjoy the inviting ambiance that makes Coffee Call a true Baton Rouge staple.
“ WiFi Password: ilovecoffee Chill place to study. Can be bustling depending on who’s here. I like it. Casual, laid back, cozy. ”
“ On a road trip with my family and just passing through Louisiana but i desperately wanted to try a bienget. This shop isn't far off the I10. They were busy and making them fresh! They have plenty of seating and a shaker of powder sugar on eat table! They were delicious. Piping hot and covered in powdered sugar. They were fully cooked and nice and fluffy. 4.50 for 3 is a steal! ”
“ This is one of my favorite places in the world. When last I lived in Baton Rouge, Coffee Call was in the same shopping center where the Wal Mart is now. Obviously not that large, but it was larger. This site retains the style and charm of the older shop. Fresh coffee, beignets, hot chocolate, beignets -- the menu is longer than that, but without the tortuous specificity of that place with the evil mermaid. You go here for a good cup of coffee and a conversation with friends, or to read a good book, or work a crossword puzzle in the paper. There is no place like it in the world and I feel happier just knowing it exists. You should spend some time there, really. You'll be happier if you do. ”
“ We wanted coffee on our way oit of Baton Rouge so we stopped here. It seems like a nice local coffee shop. Everyone was nice. We had 2 coffees and 2 orders of beignets. The bignets are a nice size. They were making them as we waited. ”
“ Such a delightful café with French-style pastries called beignets — they’re absolutely heavenly! You can easily spend the whole day here; it’s a perfect spot for freelancers, collaborations, or just relaxing with a cup of coffee. The vibe is cozy and inspiring, and the beignets are out of this world. Plus, it’s open until 10 p.m. — such a lovely place to spend an evening here in Louisiana ”
